SERVICE BULLETIN & PRECAUTIONARY DRINKING WATER ADVISORY: FEBRUARY 4, 2017 SASKATOON WEST POTABLE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM
February 04, 2017
Attention: Saskatoon Potable West Water Supply Customers
The City of Saskatoon has advised SaskWater that due to a water main break on 11th Street they have had to shut down the section of pipeline that supplies the SaskWater Saskatoon West Potable Water System. It is expected that the line will remain shut down until the emergency repair can be completed. As a result, SaskWater customers located west and southwest of Highway 7 and 11th Street will experience a service interruption until this repair is completed.
The associated repair work is currently expected to be completed Sunday and as a result of the extended depressurization the Water Security Agency has issued a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) on the system effective 10:00 pm, Saturday February 4th.
Customers should note that the PDWA will remain in effect until the follow-up sampling protocol has been completed confirming that the quality of the water was not adversely affected during the repair work. SaskWater will notify its affected customers when the PDWA is lifted.
Any questions regarding this repair and associated service disruption should be directed to SaskWater Customer Service at 1-888-230-1111.
