Service Bulletin & PDWA: Saskatoon Potable West Supply System, February 28, 2017

    February 24, 2017

Attention:       Saskatoon Potable West Water Supply Customers

The City of Saskatoon has advised SaskWater that to replace a valve on 11th Street they will need to shut down the pipeline that supplies the SaskWater Saskatoon West Potable Water System.  It is expected that the line will remain shut down until the repair is completed. As a result, SaskWater customers located west and southwest of Highway 7 and 11th Street will experience a service interruption until this repair is completed.

The City of Saskatoon’s repair work is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28 starting at 9:30am and as a result of the expected depressurization the Water Security Agency will be issuing a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) on the system effective 9:30 am, Tuesday February 28th.

Customers should note that the PDWA will remain in effect until the follow-up sampling protocol has been completed confirming that the quality of the water was not adversely affected during the repair work. SaskWater will notify its affected customers when the PDWA is lifted.

Any questions regarding this repair and associated service disruption should be directed to SaskWater Customer Service at 1-888-230-1111.
